College Football Rankings: Oregon, Auburn Dominate Coaches Poll Also

Oregon and Auburn also rank first and second in the coaches poll this week. The poll looks fairly similar to the AP Poll, except that Wisconsin and Ohio State are at No. 5 and No. 7, and LSU and Stanford each move down a spot. As in the AP Poll, Boise State jumped ahead of TCU.

Miraculously, Penn State received a vote in this one – but still, obviously, didn’t come within sniffing distance of the top 25. A fifth Big Ten team, Northwestern, enters the top 25 here at No. 25, after mainstays Wisconsin, OSU, Michigan State and Iowa. Penn State beat Northwestern 35-21 last week, so the Nittany Lions have now beaten a ranked team. Here’s the top 10:

1. Oregon
2. Auburn
3. Boise State
4. TCU
5. Wisconsin
6. LSU
7. Ohio State
8. Stanford
9. Nebraska
10. Oklahoma State
