College Football Rankings: Oregon, Auburn Remain At Top Of AP Poll

With this week's losses by Penn State and Pitt, this is the first week that no local team even received a vote in the AP Poll, and as expected, the Big East continues to go unrepresented, unless you count Syracuse receiving a measly two votes. The Big Ten, though, with Wisconsin (No. 6), Ohio State (No. 8), Michigan State (No. 11) and Iowa (No. 20, despite losing this week) is still well-represented. As expected, Boise State jumped over TCU after TCU's shaky win over San Diego State. The drop will make things trickier for TCU, which has few chances left to prove itself with only unranked New Mexico left on its schedule. Here's the top ten:

1. Oregon

2. Auburn

3. Boise State

4. TCU

5. LSU

6. Wisconsin

7. Stanford

8. Ohio State

9. Nebraska

10. Alabama

It's going to be very hard for any local teams to crack the top 25 from here on out. Pitt and Penn State already have four losses, and WVU and Pitt only have Big East (read: unranked) teams left on their schedules.
