Following a season-opening win against Lehigh, Penn State looks for its second victory of the year in a game against St. Joseph tonight at the Bryce Jordan Center.
The Hawks come to Happy Valley off a 98-70 defeat at the hands of Western Kentucky on Friday. Phil Martelli's squad is coming off an 11-20 season, his worst at St. Joseph's, and will bring a young squad into the Jordan Center on dollar dog night at the arena.
Penn State coach Ed DeChellis said his team is preparing to hit the glass against the Hawks.
"They’re very fast and very athletic with guys who can score," DeChellis said in his press conference. "If they make shots, they’re kind of a team that starts to feel pretty good about themselves and they can play that well and will be a hard team to defend."
The game will be broadcast on ESPN3.com, with a free live stream, as part of the network's 24-hour college tip-off marathon.
