The Penguins take on a tough Vancouver Canucks team at 7:00 Wednesday at the Consol Energy Center. The Canucks are led by Henrik and Daniel Sedin, who currently have 23 points each, tied for fourth in the league and five points behind Sidney Crosby.
The Canucks, however, are in the midst of a very tough two-week stretch in which they're about to play their seventh game on the road, and they've been much tougher this year at home (6-0-1) than away (4-4-2), so perhaps the Pens can sneak by them here. One key to a Pens win will be keeping five players on the ice at all times - Vancouver has been fiendishly good on the power play this year, converting with more than twice as often (29.2%) as the Pens (13.0%). Another key will be a good game from the inconsistent Marc-Andre Fleury (if in fact he starts), who has played reasonably well over the last week after an awful start to his season.
As expected, Jordan Staal will be out with a broken hand. Tyler Kennedy, who missed Monday's game, is day-to-day with an illness.
