BCS Rankings: Top Ten Teams May Not Change

The top ten teams in this week's BCS rankings may remain unchanged this week.

The top three teams, Oregon, Auburn, and TCU, were all idle this week. Boise State, LSU, Stanford, Wisconsin, Ohio State, and Oklahoma State all won. At the time of this update, No. 8 Nebraska had yet to play. But if the Cornhuskers win their game against No. 19 Texas A&M, the top ten may remain exactly the same.

Nebraska's game against Texas A&M is a road game for the Huskers, so it could be a tough matchup. If they stumble, No. 11 Alabama, who won big on Thursday night at home against Georgia State, will be ready to move back into the top ten.

No. 20 Iowa and No. 24 Miami both lost today and are in danger of falling out of the Top 25. Texas A&M and No. 21 Mississippi State (who is facing No. 13 Arkansas) have yet to play and could also be candidates to fall out of the Top 25 if they are unable to win.

Local teams, Pitt (6-4), Penn State (7-4), and West Virginia (7-3) all won their respective games this weekend, but that doesn't expect to be enough for any of those teams to move into the Top 25.
