Furman Vs. Penn State: Nittany Lions Look To Rebound

After dropping its first game of the season against Mississippi on Friday, the Penn State will look to rebound against Furman today at the Bryce Jordan Center. The game will be broadcast at 3:30 p.m. on the Big Ten Network.

The Paladins are 3-1 on the season, their only loss coming to Kent State on November 19. With an RPI of 116, they have the potential to be a nice win for Penn State in the early going, but the Nittany Lions will have to work for it. Amu Saaka leads Furman with just over 19 points per game and forward Noah States follows him at just over 12 points per contest. Both players lead the Paladins in rebounding as well, and States is second on the team in assists.

Sunday's game will be Penn State's final preperation for its ACC/Big Ten Challenge tilt against Maryland on Wednesday at the Jordan Center. A big crowd is expected for that one, so the Lions must make the most of their minutes today against Furman to make sure they're ready to bring home their fourth straight Challenge victory and extend their already Big Ten record streak.
