NHL Schedule: Penguins, Flyers Play Divisional Showdown

The Penguins and Flyers play a key divisional showdown Tuesday night, with the Atlantic Division lead on the line. The red-hot Pens currently lead the Flyers by one point, and they'll try to extend their streak of 12 consecutive wins. Sidney Crosby, meanwhile, has a streak of his own to maintain, having scored at least one point in 18 straight games, and Marc-Andre Fleury has won 11 straight games. The Flyers are pretty hot themselves, going 7-1-3 in their last 11 games.

For the Penguins, Chris Kunitz might or might not play, but if he doesn't, Evgeni Malkin could return to take his place. Both players practiced today. Having Malkin back would be a huge plus, since this is the Penguins' biggest game in weeks, and they have another game against a good divisional foe (the New York Rangers) Wednesday night.

For the Flyers, Jody Shelley will be out while serving a two-game suspension for a hit against the Bruins' Adam McQuaid this weekend.

The only other game on the docket for Tuesday night is the Maple Leafs and Oilers at 9:00 PM.
