NFL Scores: AFC's Top Teams All Win, Except Steelers

Here’s a look at this week’s scores from around the AFC:

The Colts beat the Jaguars 34-24 to tie Jacksonville in the AFC South, with the two teams tied at 8-6. Donald Brown rushed for 129 yards. The Chiefs moved to 9-5 with a 27-13 win over the Rams. Jamaal Charles rushed for 126 yards. The Chargers beat the 49ers on Thursday.

In the AFC East, the Bills knocked the Dolphins out of playoff contention, 17-14, and the Patriots beat the Packers, 31-27.

The Ravens beat the Saints 30-24, with Ray Rice coming up big. Rice had 80 yards receiving and 153 yards rushing.

Essentially, then, all the playoff-relevant teams in the AFC won, except the Dolphins (who were very marginal anyway), Jaguars (who were playing another playoff-relevant team) and the Steelers. The Patriots maintained their stranglehold on home field advantage throughout the playoffs, but the competition for the spots after that got a little tighter. The other bye week will likely go to the Steelers or Ravens, with the loser of that competition and the Jets taking the wild cards. The Chiefs are a game up in the AFC West, and either Jacksonville or Indianapolis could represent the AFC South.
