2010 College Football Bowl Season: BCS And Beyond

The official college football bowl lineup was announced on Sunday, December 5th, including the participants of all 35 bowls that will be played over the course of the next five weeks. The regular season certainly did not make things easy in projecting the bowl participants, but now that all bowls are official, we can take a more in-depth look at the matchups without the speculation as to who will be playing.

As it turns out, SBN Pittsburgh got almost all of the BCS projections correct, missing only the Big 12 winner (Oklahoma instead of Nebraska) and the Big East conference champion (UConn instead of WVU). As for the remainder of the Big Ten and Big East projections, we nailed some, but were off on others. Those bowl committee members are a fickle bunch, and trying to predict what they are thinking is an endeavor in futility.

All of our local teams will be covered more in depth on their individual bowl pages (Penn State, Pitt, and West Virginia), but stay tuned here for news and notes surrounding the other 32 games. We'll also have a full predictions post sometime before the first bowl kickoff, the New Mexico Bowl on December 18. Until then, your official 2010 NCAA bowl lineup is as follows:
