Pitt head coach Jamie Dixon spoke about the non-conference opponents Pitt will face in the Coaches Vs. Cancer Classic and the SEC/Big East Invitational.
As has been his goal, he again hopes these tough non-conference games will help Pitt land a top ten strength of schedule. This has really played into the Panthers’ favor of late – last season in particular as Pitt landed a three-seed in the NCAA Tournament, partially due to their RPI and tough schedule.
