Roethlisberger Surprisingly Not Most-Hated Man in Sports

Ben Roethlisberger is surprisingly not the most-hated man in sports, according to a recent Forbes poll.

Well, not quite.

The embattled Steelers quarterback ranks third on the list behind Eagles color-commentary fodder quarterback Michael Vick and Raiders owner Al Davis.

↵

That Vick tops the list is no surprise. Electrocuting puppies will do that sort of thing to your reputation.

↵

But it’s kind of a surprise to see Al Davis “beat” Roethlisberger, isn’t it? Sure, Davis is nothing more than a combine fetishist as a general manager (see Exhibits A, B, and C), he treats his head coaches with a level of disdain usually reserved for telemarketers, and looks a lot the like Cryptkeeper, but I hardly hate the guy.

↵

In fact, if I were a fan of any team in the AFC West besides the Raiders, I’d downright love the old coot. It’s difficult to think of anyone who’s more culpable for his team’s impotence over the last decade than Al Davis.
