College and professional rooting alligences rarely impact each other, but today is not one of those days. The Baltimore Ravens have signed former Mountaineer quarterback Marc Bulger to a one year contract. Bulger, a Pittsburgh native and Central Catholic grad, will now compete to back up Joe Flacco in Charm City. Bulger signed a one year contract worth $3.8 million.
↵In a lot of ways, I'm thrilled for Marc. He's one of the genuine "good guys" in sports and someone who is easy to root for. When discussing ex-Mountaineers many people want to throw Chris Henry and PacMan Jones at me as examples of the kind of players WVU churns out. It's nice to have a guy like Marc Bulger to counter with in that argument. I'll always wonder how Bulger's career would have turned out if he hadn't been stuck on some awful teams the last few years in St. Louis.
↵Good luck to Marc.
