Woodland Hills football star Lafayette Pitts has verbally committed to the Panthers for 2011. He currently plays offense and defense for Woodland Hills but will play cornerback for Pitt. His coach feels he’ll be a good fit at the position:
↵↵↵“He’s like the Energizer Bunny – he’s always on the go,” Woodland Hills coach George Novak said. “He can do a lot of things but he’s very natural at defensive back. He’s very competitive for the ball and a good tackler.”

Pitts is ranked as a three-star recruit by both Scout and Rivals. He also reportedly had offers from West Virginia, Iowa, Illinois, and Maryland among others.
