A two-run homer by Delwyn Young gives the Pirates a 2-1 lead against Strasburg in the fourth. Young caught Strasburg throwing one too many offspeed pitches, and a single by Neil Walker earlier in the inning was on a changeup as well. Strasburg is probably right to mix up his pitches against major league hitters who can adjust to his fastball (which today is coming in at a nasty 98 MPH), but he’s relying a bit too much on changeups against the Bucs.
