Dante Taylor was absent from Monday’s Greentree Summer League playoff games. No reason has yet been reported for his absence.
↵Meanwhile, other Pitt players made headlines – most notably, the incoming freshmen. J.J. Moore led players on all four teams in scoring with 25 points and also collected 10 rebounds. But it wasn’t enough to overcome the performance of fellow freshman Cameron Wright. Wright led his team to a six-point victory, scoring 20 points:
↵↵↵“My mid-range game was on point, so [Lamar Patterson] just told me to keep going to it,” Wright said. “That’s what I kept doing, and it was falling so I kept shooting.”

Fans really should be encouraged by the play of both Moore and Wright during the Summer League games. Pitt’s third incoming freshman, Isaiah Epps, is not yet here and is expected to contribute to the team in the Fall.
