Pitt Leads The Way With Seven All-Summer League Players

Pitt landed a total of seven players on the Greentree All-Summer League first and second teams.

Expected starters for 2010-11 Ashton Gibbs, Gary McGhee, and Gilbert Brown all made the first team roster. Gibbs was also named the League MVP.

The most encouraging thing for Pitt fans may have been the play of second-year player, J.J. Richardson, who also was a first-team member. Richardson showed signs last year of eventually becoming a potential contributor and by all accounts, his performance during the Summer League this year was extremely encouraging.

Lamar Patterson, Talib Zanna, and incoming freshman, J.J. Moore, were named to the second team.

Pitt’s seven players led all schools. Duquesne had four and Robert Morris, two.
