The Post-Gazette reports that the Steelers have signed second-round pick Jason Worilds to a four-year deal.
↵The contract is timely, as Pittsburgh’s training camp begins this Friday in Latrobe. Only first-round offensive lineman Maurkice Pouncey remains unsigned.
↵Worilds played defensive end at Virginia Tech but will shift to outside linebacker in Pittsburgh’s 3-4 offense. He is expected to provide depth to the team’s pass rush during the 2010 season and perhaps start in the not-so-distant future, should James Harrison decline in his old age or if the organization is unable to resign LaMarr Woodley due to some technicalities in the current NFL labor dispute.
