The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced a signing with a familiar name today:
↵↵↵The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins have signed right wing Andrew Orpik to an American Hockey League contract, it was announced on Friday.
↵Orpik, 24, spent most of last season with the Las Vegas Wranglers (ECHL). The 6-3, 200-lb. forward posted 22 points (10G, 12A) and 38 penalty minutes in 35 games

Andrew Orpik is brother to Penguins defenseman Brooks. Orpik the younger figures to compete for a spot in the AHL but is more than likely going to be organizational depth for Wheeling.
