Pitt received its second verbal commitment this week when DL Max Issaka informed the Panthers of his intent to play for the team in 2011. He selected Pitt over several schools including Michigan State, Connecticut, Maryland, NC State among others.
↵Issaka is yet another recruit from New Jersey and is a three-star recruit as rated by both Rivals and Scout. He was recruited by the Panthers' Jeff Hafley, who is quickly becoming perhaps the school's top recruiter.
↵In 2009, he totaled 58 tackles and six sacks. He's also done some punting and kicking and could potentially serve as an emergency backup in either role.
