The Pirates have officially placed Ross Ohlendorf on the DL and have recalled pitcher Brian Burres from Indianapolis. Burres is probably just a temporary addition until Ohlendorf’s turn in the rotation comes up this weekend, at which point the Pirates will probably send Burres back and call up Charlie Morton.
