Pirates Aim To Take Second Straight From Reds

Recap: Pittsburgh vs. Cincinnati

Pittsburgh, PA (Sports Network) - Paul Janish went 3-for-3 with four RBI and hit a three-run homer to highlight a six-run seventh inning, as the Reds took the rubber match of their three-game series against the Pirates, 9-4.

Juan Francisco and Jonny Gomes each had three hits and drove in a run in Cincinnati's fourth win in five games.

Johnny Cueto (11-2) tossed six innings of one-run ball to win a seventh straight decision over the National League Central bottom-dwellers, scattering three hits and two walks to go with six strikeouts.

Jeff Karstens (2-7) remained winless since June 19 after yielding three runs on nine hits in a five-inning start for Pittsburgh, which had lost five straight before pulling out a 7-6 win on Tuesday.
