Penn State basketball added its fourth commitment for the class of 2011 this week (exactly as many members as the football class has right now) in 6-foot-7-inch Minnesota forward Ross Travis.
↵Rivals and ESPN rate the new Lion, who projects to play the three spot at the college level, as a three-star prospect. He fills an important void for Penn State at small forward, where senior David Jackson will vacate the spot after this season.
↵He joins Trey Lewis, Pat Ackerman and Peter Alexis in the Lions' 2011 stable. Coach Ed DeChellis still has one more scholarship to work with in this big class. Expect him to go after a guard to complement the surprising amount of size he's added in the last few months between the 2011 class and late signer to the 2010 class Jonathan Graham.
