Three Panther Rookies Make NFL Cuts

Pitt had three of its 2009 players land on NFL rosters for 2010. Nate Byham and Dorin Dickerson were both signed and expected to last through the final round of cuts, but one mild surprise was CB Aaron Berry.

Berry, while All-Conference in 2009, was not drafted. Still, he survived the final round of cuts, even beating out former Pro Bowler Dre Bly. Bly is getting older, but just signed a two-year contract in July.

Former Panthers Mick Williams and John Malecki, in the Bears and Browns camps respectively, did not make the final round of cuts. Also not surviving was former QB Bill Stull. Stull lost out on his bid to become the Chiefs 3rd string QB to fellow Pitt Alum Tyler Palko.
