Coach Nick Saban addressed Alabama running back Mark Ingram's status for Saturday's game against Penn State earlier today, and things don't look good for the Tide's Heisman-toting man.
↵↵↵TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- Alabama coach Nick Saban says tailback Mark Ingram is unlikely to play against Penn State.
↵The top-ranked Crimson Tide's Heisman Trophy winner is "probably not going to be ready to play this week," Saban said Wednesday. Ingram was able to run Tuesday and hasn't had swelling or problems with his left knee, Saban said.
↵
As has been said frequently since his injury last week, things probably won't be much easier for Penn State facing backup Trent Richardson, but if Ingram is out, it's one less weapon the Tide can throw at what figures to be an out-manned Nittany Lion squad.
↵Look for the Lions to concentrate a little more on wide receiver Julio Jones, and key less on the run than they might have with Ingram in the contest.
