Illinois has switched up the intensity on defense coming out of the timeout. Penn State's sets have looked sloppy and the Lions have had some near miss turnovers.
Jermaine Marshall checks in for Penn State, replacing Tim Frazier. This pair has the potential to be a good offense-defense platoon. Marshall definitely looks to score where Frazier looks to defend and get his teammates involved. Some have looked to Marshall's scoring the last few games to suggest he should get more playing time, and he should, but he and Marshall work best in combination rather than one or the other.
Both teams have gone cold from the field, not a whole lot of scoring in this segment.
Talor Battle is currently getting a blow. He looks fine. Ed DeChellis is probably trying to get him some rest before the media timeout so he gets a nice long rest to finish the half strong.
With 11:42 to play in the half, Penn State leads 13-5.
