Illinois Vs. Penn State Second Half Updates: Under 16 Timeout

Penn State opens the half with the five players that started the game.

Illinois grabs its first lead on a 3-pointer by Brandon Paul. Penn State's early cushion is gone. Penn State has got to start playing well now to win the game.

Illinois has really locked down around the bucket. Penn State is going to have to start hitting so outside jumpers to draw the defense out a little bit or its going to be a long half.

Marshall is the first player off the Penn State bench in the half, replacing Andrew Jones. Penn State is now playing three guards for the first time this evening.

Thanks to a couple of threes by Talor Battle and Billy Oliver, the Nittany Lions have reassumed the lead here at the Bryce Jordan Center. With 15:09 to play in the half, Penn State leads 35-30.
