Penn State hosts another critical game Saturday afternoon when Wisconsin comes calling a 4:00 P.M. The game will be broadcast from the Bryce Jordan Center on the Big Ten Network.
The Nittany Lions (11-8, 4-4) are coming of a 14-point win against Iowa on Wednesday night. Penn State trailed the Hawkeyes by as many as 11 points in the first half but erased that to lead at halftime by one before dominating the second half. With 10 games remaining and Penn State still outside the NCAA Tournament picture according to many projections, this game represents a chance for the Lions to make some real hay before road trips to Illinois and Michigan State in the near future.
The Badgers (15-4, 5-2) have won three straight games and four of their last five. Beyond Ohio State and Minnesota, there aren't many teams playing better basketball in the Big Ten at the moment than them. Led by Jon Leuer (19.2 points per game) and Jordan Taylor (17.4 points per game) Bo Ryan's team sits 2.5 games back of Ohio State for first place in the conference, and as Andy Katz points out, this game is critical for the Badgers to stay in the race for the title.
