Florida State's Christian Ponder threw two touchdown passes to lead the South All-Stars to a 24-10 defeat of the North All-Stars on Saturday. West Virginia's Noel Devine also added a one-yard touchdown run for the South.
The South took a 17-0 lead into halftime thanks to a touchdown pass from Ponder to Miami's Leonard Hankerson in the first quarter and the touchdown run by Devine in the second. Maryland's Da'Rel Scott had a one-yard touchdown run in the third quarter as the North narrowed the score to 17-10, but Ponder's touchdown pass to TCU's Jeremy Kerley helped the North pull away.
Washington quarterback and top draft prospect Jake Locker went 6-for-10 for 98 yards for the North. Ohio State's Dane Sanzenbacher had five receptions for 62 yards. For the South, Ponder went 7-for-13 with 132 yards, while Hankerson had 100 yards receiving and Louisville's Bilal Powell and ten rushes for 50 yards. Devine had seven carries for eight yards.
