The West Virginia Mountaineers have opened a big lead on Bowling Green in the second quarter, and are now up 31-10.
Bowling Green actually had a 10-3 lead early on in this one, but that seems like a long time ago now, as the Falcons haven’t been able to do much to stop Geno Smith, Dustin Garrison and the Mountaineer offense. Smith has two touchdown passes, including a second-quarter score to Ryan Nehlen on Nehlen’s second career catch. Smith is now 9-for-18 with 133 yards.
Meanwhile, Garrison is having a huge game on the ground. He too scored in the second quarter, on a 19-yard run, and had a 42-yard run to begin that drive. He currently has a ridiculous 164 yards rushing.
The Mountaineers currently have 320 total yards, compared to Bowling Green’s 116. It doesn’t look like they’re going to have much trouble in this one (not that they were expected to).
