Bowling Green Vs. WVU Halftime Score: Dustin Garrison Running Wild

Not that it’s a huge surprise, but the Bowling Green defense really has no idea how to stop West Virginia, which leads by a 38-10 score at the half. Dustin Garrison currently has an amazing 233 yards rushing, and one need only watch Bowling Green muff about half a dozen potential tackles in his second-quarter, 19-yard touchdown to see how he has been able to do it. Garrison is averaging 9.7 yards per carry.

Oh, and Geno Smith has three touchdown passes as well, including an six-yard strike to Brad Starks with about three minutes left in the first half to give the Mountaineers their current 38-10 lead. He has made use of a bunch of different receivers – Starks, Ryan Nehlen and Ivan McCartney all have touchdowns, and Tavon Austin also has 59 yards receiving.

Not much to see here, folks. The Mountaineer offense looks unstoppable, and it’s hard to see how the Bowling Green offense could do enough in the second half to get back in the game, even if that weren’t the case.
