BCS Rankings Week 9: Penn State No. 19, West Virginia Rounds Out Top 25

After losing to Syracuse on Saturday, the West Virginia Mountaineers just hold onto their spot in the BCS rankings. Penn State is No. 19.

The BCS poll has just come out with their Week 9 rankings and there is plenty of change at the top of the poll. Not the very top, where LSU and Alabama still reign supreme, but the next few spots have been shaken up after some upset losses over the weekend. Oklahoma State has replaced their in-state rival Sooners at No. 3 and Boise State has moved up to No. 4. Those are important because one of Alabama or LSU will have a loss in two weeks' time, so somebody is moving up.

As for the local schools, West Virginia and Penn State both make an appearance in the poll, but they both reside in the second half. Penn State is ranked as the No. 19 team in the Country, while West Virginia just barely rounds out the Top-25. That probably has something to do with their loss to Syracuse over the weekend. Here are the complete BCS standings via SB Nation.
