2011 Bowl Projections: Will Moutaineers Be Playing In Late Bowl Game?

The West Virginia Mountaineers have had a very inconsistent season so far, with some pretty impressive wins to go along with a baffling defeat (against Syracuse). But they still play in the Big East Conference, which means that even without a sparkling record, they still have a chance to make it to a reasonably impressive bowl game, if not a BCS game.

The guys over at SB Nation have put together a 2011 NCAA Bowl Projections chart that compiles four different experts' takes on where the Mountaineers might play their last game of the Season. This is a totally inexact science, so it's kind of impressive that there are only two options, suggested. Two of the experts think that the Mountaineers will not win the Big East, and that they will then have to play North Carolina in the Belk Bowl, whatever that is. The other two, however, think that West Virginia will still win the Conference and play Clemson in the Orange Bowl. Of course, they could all be wrong, so stay tuned.
