UConn Vs. West Virginia Score: Dustin Garrison Gets WVU The Lead, 10-6

After the Connecticut Huskies took the lead on a career-long field goal by Dave Teggart, the West Virginia Mountaineers and Huskies began a very intense punt competition. Each team had drives stall out and each punted twice. After UConn's second punt of the quarter, WVU got a solid drive going.

WVU got a 15-yard penalty on their punt return giving them nice starting position. Geno Smith then took the Mountaineers down the field to get into the redzone, thanks to another penalty by UConn. Smith was picked off in the end zone, but there was defensive holding on the play. After a Mountaineer holding penalty, running back Dustin Garrison took the ball between the left guard and tackle, breaking a tackle on a nice jump cut to punch the ball into the end zone for a 14-yard touchdown.
