Week 9 NFL Power Rankings: Packers Retain Top Spot, Steelers Come In At Third

The Pittsburgh Steelers are the proud owners of a 6-3 record and a win over the Patriots, where does that put them in the latest edition of the SB Nation Power Rankings?

The Pittsburgh Steelers played in arguably the biggest game on the NFL schedule this past weekend against one of their historic demons in the New England Patriots. Beating the Patriots was probably a huge morale victory for the team, but it was also a big victory in the eyes of those who put together the various NFL Power Rankings across the Internet. Let's start with the guys over at SB Nation, who have the Steelers as the third best team in football in the latest edition of their 2011 NFL Power Rankings.

Early in the season it looked like the Steelers might suffer from the Super Bowl hangover but they've rebounded, as usual.

The Steelers were the fifth-ranked team last week, and beat a Patriots team that was ranked third just a week ago. But the San Fransisco 49ers still have just one loss, so they have earned the No. 2 spot that they occupy in these rankings. The Packers, obviously, are still No. 1.

We'll have more Power Rankings throughout the day in this StoryStream but for more on the Steelers, head over to Behind the Steel Curtain.
