Penguins Vs. Hurricanes: Against Floundering Carolina, Pittsburgh Tries For Third Straight Win

The Hurricanes have lost four straight, three of those in blowouts.

The Penguins will take on the Carolina Hurricanes Saturday night at 7:00 at RBC Center. The game will be broadcast on ROOT Sports.

The Hurricanes are currently 5-8-3 and are in the midst of a four-game losing streak that includes blowout losses against the Capitals, Stars and Rangers. The Pens, meanwhile, beat the Stars 3-1 on Friday and won their previous game, against the Kings, in a shootout. The Hurricanes will have to deal with hot Penguins winger James Neal, who had two goals against the Stars and has 16 points in 16 games so far this season. Neal is currently one goal behind Phil Kessel for the NHL lead.

The young Jeff Skinner is the Hurrcanes' top scorer, but like the most of the rest of the team, he hasn't done much in the past few games, with no points in Carolina's losses against the Rangers and Devils and one assist each in their losses to the Stars and Rangers.

As has been the norm for the Penguins so far this season, Sidney Crosby will not play.
