Penguins Vs. Avalanche: Pittsburgh Looks To Bounce Back Against Colorado

The Pittsburgh Penguins will be without Sidney Crosby once again on Tuesday when they host the Colorado Avalanche.

The Pittsburgh Penguins will face off against the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday as the Pens look to bounce back from a 5-3 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes over the weekend. The game starts at 7:30 pm and can be seen on Versus. According to TSN, Sidney Crosby will not be in the lineup in this game despite skating with the first line at practice on Monday.

The Pittsburgh Penguins said on Monday that Sidney Crosby will not return to the line-up for Tuesday's home game against the Colorado Avalanche. The news came after the team took its morning skate on Monday. Crosby skated at right wing at practice on a line with Evgeni Malkin and James Neal. The team said that when their captain is ready to return, they will announce it at least a day before the game in question.

Dustin Jeffrey, however, will come back after an AHL conditioning assignment.

The Avalanche come into the game with the best power play in the NHL, scoring on 27.1 percent of their man advantage chances. On the flip side, however, they have the 28th best power play kill percentage, allowing their opponents to score on three out of every four penalty opportunities.
