Week 12 NFL Power Rankings: Steelers Stay Put After Bye Week

The Pittsburgh Steelers had a week off, but they stand pat in the SB Nation Power Rankings at No. 6 overall.

Just like you can't lose your starting job to injury, you can't fall in the SB Nation 2011 NFL Power Rankings if you don't have a chance to prove yourself. The Steelers were on a bye this weekend, but the voters in the Power Rankings kept them at No. 6 overall.

They're in a tie with Baltimore in the AFC North. Both these teams should make the playoffs -- it's just a matter of who wins the division.

They'll have a pretty good chance to move up in the coming weeks as the team directly ahead of them, the Houston Texans, just lost their starting quarterback for an extended period of time. It will be difficult to climb very much higher than that. But they'll still have a great chance to make the playoffs, and that's really all that matters.
