2011 Penguins Schedule: Pittsburgh Will Face Washington On Thursday

The Pittsburgh Penguins will have a busy schedule this week, highlighted by a matchup with the Washington Capitals in D.C. this Thursday.

The Pittsburgh Penguins had a nice weekend, with wins over Ottawa and Montreal. But there is no rest for the weary, and the Pens will be right back at it on Tuesday night. It will be the first of three games they play this week, all on the road.

Their opponent on Tuesday will be the New York Rangers, who they will play at Madison Square Garden. The game starts at 7:30 and can be seen on Versus. The Rangers have one of the better records in the Eastern Conference and are just five points behind the Penguins.

Their next game will probably be the biggest of the week, as they head to Washington to take on the Capitals. It will be the first time that Sidney Crosby and Alex Ovechkin will face off since Crosby was injured in last season's Winter Classic. It will also be the second game that Dale Hunter will coach the Capitals after the team fired Bruce Boudreau on Monday morning. That game starts at 7:00 PM and can be seen on NHL Network and ROOT Sports.

The final game of the week will come on Saturday against the Carolina Hurricanes. That game also starts at 7:00 and can be seen on ROOT.

We'll have plenty more on these games as the week progresses on SB Nation Pittsburgh, but for more info on the Penguins head over to PensBurgh.
