The Pittsburgh Penguins are already reeling from the news that star center Sydney Crosby will be out an undetermined amount of time with concussion-like symptoms, but he will not be the only player that will miss this week's game with the Detroit Red Wings. Jordan Staal and Richard park are both expected to miss some time with recent injuries as well:
Dan Bylsma also said forward Richard Park has a fracture in his foot and will miss four to six weeks and center Jordan Staal is "day-to-day" with a lower body injury.
Park has been an effective wing with two goals and five assists so far on the season. Staal is an alternate captain and center on his line. He has 12 goals and six assists so far this year. Staal also battled injuries last season, playing in only 42 games and notching 11 goals with 19 assists. His best season came in 2007 with 29 goals.
