Steelers vs. 49ers: Ben Roethlisberger Active For Pittsburgh

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is active for Monday nights game against the 49ers in San Francisco.

Dejan Kovacevic of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review watched Roethlisberger during a pregame test of his injured ankle and tweeted, "This is painful just to watch. Guy can barely move," at one point but later said the quarterback could be seen walking more briskly outside the Steelers' tunnel.

Kovacevic tweets Pittsburgh's inactives are center Maukice Pouncey, linebacker Chris Carter, wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders, defensive end Al Woods, cornerback Curtis Brown and tackle Jamon Meredith. Linebacker James Harrison is suspended after an illegal hit on Browns quarterback Colt McCoy on Dec. 8.

The 49ers' official Twitter account reports quarterback Scott Tolzien, wide receiver Braylon Edwards, cornerback Tramaine Brock, fullback Moran Norris, linebacker Patrick Willis, guard Mike Person and defensive tackle Ian Williams are inactive for San Francisco.
