Week 16 NFL Power Rankings: Steelers Fall After Loss To 49ers

The Pittsburgh Steelers are coming off a loss to the 49ers, but they don't drop too far in the SB Nation Power Rankings.

The Pittsburgh Steelers had a rough go of things on Monday Night in their loss to the San Francisco 49ers, and as a result, they fell a couple spots in the Week 16 version of the 2011 NFL Power Rankings at SB Nation. The Steelers had been sitting in the top five pretty consistently this year, but that loss moves them down to No. 6. The SB Nation guys don't seem too worried about it, though.

As they do nearly every year (it seems), the Steelers will win 11 or 12 games and make some noise in the playoffs. I'm not too concerned about them despite the Monday night loss.

The 49ers have been playing great football all year, and they took advantage of a chance to show how much of a contender they can be at home in front of a National audience. The Steelers had an injured quarterback. I'm not taking a lot from this game either, but Ben Roethlisberger needs to get healthy if they have a shot in the Playoffs.
