More than 22,000 people registered to take part in five events to take place that weekend, which include the marathon, a half marathon, a team relay, a kids race and a 5K ...

About 16,000 runners took part in the race last year, and organizers tweaked the race route to accommodate more people.

This is no surprise, since event organizers were warning six weeks ago that those who planned to register for the marathon and particularly the half marathon should hurry up and do it before the registration closed.

The website for the event is here. The marathon will begin at 7:00 AM on May 15 for runners, and 6:00 AM for walkers, with the wheelchair division beginning at 6:50. The half marathon will begin at 7:00 for runners and 6:00 for walkers.
