Most of the city probably won't notice due to the Penguins playoff game kicking off tonight, but the Pirates also have a game. It's a new series against the Milwaukee Brewers, and it was supposed to start yesterday but didn't because of the rain.
Tonight, the Pirates will send pitcher Kevin Correia to the hill. Correia was signed to a cheap deal in the offseason and carried low expectations, but has pitched pretty well in his first two starts for the Bucs.
The Brewers' starting pitcher will be Shaun Marcum. Like Correia, he was an offseason acquisition, but he came at a higher cost, as the Brewers traded a good infield prospect in Brett Lawrie to get him. Marcum pitched very well for the Jays last season but has allowed seven walks in his first two starts this season, including five in his season-opening start against the Reds.
The game begins at 7:05.
