Pirates Vs. Marlins: Andrew McCutchen Leaves Team

The Pirates take on the Florida Marlins for the second game of their series at 7:10 PM in Miami.

The big news on Wednesday is that Andrew McCutchen isn't in the lineup - he's out for an as-yet-undetermined amount of time to deal with a "personal matter." Hopefully everything's okay and he'll only be gone a day or two, since obviously losing their star player for an extended period of time would be a big problem.

Tonight's starters are Charlie Morton for the Pirates and Ricky Nolasco for the Marlins. Morton is coming off an excellent complete-game five-hitter against Cincinnati in his last start. Nolasco, meanwhile, allowed five runs in five innings in his most recent start against the Braves, but pitched quality starts in his two outings before that.

The Pirates will try to bounce back from an ugly first game of the series, in which they were two-hit by Josh Johnson and two Marlins relievers.
