The Penguins grabbed their 99th and 100th points of the season by beating the Florida Panthers Saturday, 4-2.
Tyler Kennedy scored the first goal of the game for the Penguins, but the Panthers took a 2-1 lead later in the first period after goals by Jack Skille and Clay Wilson.
Pascal Dupuis scored very early in the second period for the Pens, however, and Pittsburgh didn't look back after that. Zbynek Michalek scored his fourth goal of the season in the third period, and the Pens tacked on an empty-netter by Craig Adams to seal the deal.
Brent Johnson recorded 28 saves for the Pens.
The Tampa Bay Lightning also won Saturday, beating Minnesota, so the Penguins remained three points ahead of the Lightning for the third seed, increasing the likelihood that the Pens will have home-field advantage in the very probable event that they face the Lightning in the first round of the NHL playoffs.
