Bob Nutting Makes Local Media Blitz

Pittsburgh Pirates owner Bob Nutting has been spending the All-Star break making the rounds on various local media outlets. This is a rarity for the usually-reserved Nutting, who typically does not talk about the doings of the team to media after Spring Training.

On Monday he appeared on 93.7 The Fan's "Vinnie & Cook," and on Tuesday he was on "The X Morning Show" with Tim Benz. This comes after an interview with Dejan Kovacevic appeared in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review Friday.

↵

In the interviews he addressed questions about the team's success so far in 2011 and the proverbial question of what the Pirates are going to do at the deadline.

This certainly is a good move by Nutting, as he is trying to repair his image while the team is doing well. With the average Pittsburgh fan showing as much trust for him as a corrupt politician, it certainly will be an uphill battle to repair the damage that this 18-year losing streak has caused.
