Pittsburgh Pirates owner Bob Nutting has been spending the All-Star break making the rounds on various local media outlets. This is a rarity for the usually-reserved Nutting, who typically does not talk about the doings of the team to media after Spring Training.
↵On Monday he appeared on 93.7 The Fan's "Vinnie & Cook," and on Tuesday he was on "The X Morning Show" with Tim Benz. This comes after an interview with Dejan Kovacevic appeared in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review Friday.
↵In the interviews he addressed questions about the team's success so far in 2011 and the proverbial question of what the Pirates are going to do at the deadline.
↵This certainly is a good move by Nutting, as he is trying to repair his image while the team is doing well. With the average Pittsburgh fan showing as much trust for him as a corrupt politician, it certainly will be an uphill battle to repair the damage that this 18-year losing streak has caused.
