Steelers Vs. Redskins: Steelers Enter Locker Room With Score Tied, Despite Rex Grossman's Huge First Half

With the score tied at seven and time running out in the first half of their preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Washington Redskins again charged down the field, only to be denied in the end as Shayne Graham missed his second field goal of the game.

It wasn’t that bad of an effort by the Steelers, given that Rex Grossman was still out there at quarterback and the Steelers were using their second-team defense. They allowed lots of completions of short passes, but didn’t give up any huge gains and forced Graham to take a long field goal.

In the end, the Steelers didn’t really play well in the first half, and 207 yards in one half by Grossman is way too many. The Redskins mostly moved the ball at will. But after a rocky start, the Steelers’ offense mostly looked good too. Second-year wide receiver Antonio Brown has had a good camp so far and has looked very good in the game as well. And Isaac Redman has 42 yards and a touchdown on five rushing attempts.

By the way, former Penn State star Evan Royster made his preseason debut with the Redskins, running twice for eight yards.
