The Redskins still lead the Steelers by a score of 10-7 at the tail end of the third quarter of their preseason game.
Charlie Batch is now piloting the Steelers offense, which now features lesser-known targets like Jonathan Dwyer, Terrence McCrae, Wes Lyons and Weslye Saunders. Dwyer currently has one catch for six yards, but looked sluggish in a run in which he was pinned for a loss. He currently has five rushes for seven yards – not much to speak of from a guy who’s still looking for a roster spot after frustrating the Steelers with his conditioning.
The Steelers defense, meanwhile, has allowed 373 total yards, most of them through the air, although they’re also doing pretty well on the ground. The Steelers’ three leading tacklers (Ryan Mundy, Keenan Lewis and Ike Taylor) are all in their secondary.
Kellen Clemens continues to lead the Redskins’ offense.
