Big East Media Day: Dana Holgorsen Quotes

Here are some quotes from West Virginia's Dana Holgorsen from the 2011 Big East Media Day in Rhode Island on Tuesday. On WVU's offense:

"The offense is still a work in progress. I brought in a new offensive staff, and we have to translate from staff to our players. Geno Smith, our returning All-Big East quarterback, is picking up the system well. We need to get him experience, and we have to get guys to feed off him and make everyone better. Tavon Austin is another all-Big East guy. He's a dynamic kid who can touch it on a whole bunch of different plays, and it's our job as coaches to get him the ball as much as we can."

Holgorsen also said he looked forward to the Backyard Brawl against Pitt, due in part to his familiarity with new head coach Todd Graham. He further noted the fact that WVU had won an average of 10 games a year in the past six years, and mentioned how exciting it was to be a part of that.

Holgorsen further noted that one thing he liked about the Big East was the feeling that any team could win, noting that he had not always coached in conferences that were like that.
