West Virginia University head football coach Dana Holgorsen confirmed today that redshirt sophomore running back Daquan Hargrett will transfer from the university. Coach Holgorsen had this to say about the transfer:
↵↵↵"He came in and talked to me this morning and wants to play - he feels like he's got a better opportunity to go somewhere else and play. I'm not sure where, but we're going to work with him. He's a good kid, a great kid and has done everything we've asked him to do,I'll help him go wherever he wants to go so he can go play football."

Hargrett had yet to appear at practice this fall, and it appears that he was struggling to fit in to an already-crowded Mountaineer backfield. Hargrett was slated to split time at the A-back position with Trey Johnson and Vernard Roberts. It is yet to be seen how much work the running backs will get in Holgorsen's new pass-happy offense.
